XELSA's Guide to a New You!
1. Initial Consultation
45 minutes
We believe great outcomes start with understanding where you are and where you want to go. During your initial consultation, your physiotherapist will take the time to learn about your story, assess your movement, and uncover the factors contributing to your symptoms. We'll discuss your goals, whether that's chasing a personal best, keeping up with your kids, or simply moving through life with less pain and establish a benchmark that we can measure future progress against. Your full body assessment will often uncover other areas of concern that you may not have even been aware of. You'll leave with clarity, confidence, and a personalised plan designed to help you move forward.
2. First 4-6 Weeks
30 Minutes Each
Your follow-up appointments are where your plan comes to life. Depending on your goals and treatment plan, sessions may take place in the clinic, gym, pool, or even within your community; wherever is most appropriate for helping you achieve meaningful results. During the first 4-6 weeks, the focus is often on reducing pain, improving movement, and establishing key habits or lifestyle protocols. It's often during this stage that people begin to feel a dramatic improvement. But while pain relief is important, it's not the finish line. At XELSA, we believe the real magic happens once you're feeling better. That's when we can focus on building strength, confidence, capacity, and resilience so you're not constantly returning to square one. Our aim isn't just to help you recover, it's to help you create lasting health for the long term.
3. 6+ Weeks
30 Minutes Each
After the initial 4–6 week phase, progress checks continue into the 6+ week stage and are still compared against your original baseline measures from your first appointment. This allows us to consistently track real, measurable change across your entire program, not just early improvements, but ongoing development as well. This is also where the approach differs from most traditional physio care. Often, once pain is reduced or symptoms settle, treatment ends and patients are discharged, leaving a gap where longer-term strength, resilience, and prevention aren’t fully addressed. At XELSA, we continue beyond that point to focus on lasting results. The goal is not just symptom relief, but building a stronger, more capable body that holds its results long after the initial issue has resolved.
