Meet The Team

Founder / CEO / Physiotherapist
Michael Malek
After graduating as a Master of Physiotherapy from Griffith University in 2018, Michael worked in the Hospital system for 6 years.

After years of treating patients, he saw a gap in the system: traditional approaches often focused on temporary fixes rather than long-term wellness.

Then came XELSA. A clinic founded on the values that everyone is deserving of more.

When not with patients or building XELSA into an empire, you'll find Michael playing piano & chess or enjoying a much deserved break at the beach!

KEY INTERESTS:
Dementia Prevention, Neuro / Stroke, Biohacking, Musculoskeletal, Acupuncture/Dry Needling

Physiotherapist
Harvey Graham
As a Physiotherapy graduate of Griffith University, Harvey hit the ground running eager to learn as much as he could straight off the bat.

Harvey is passionate about supporting his patients reach their optimal state. As an athlete himself, Harvey is no stranger to hard work and discipline.

If you're a performance athlete looking for dedicated 1:1 support to help you reach your PB's and goals, Harvey is your guy!

Outside of the clinic, you'll find Harvey going for a casual 15km run, at the gym or pushing himself for the next big athletic event!

KEY INTERESTS: Performance Training, Sports Therapy, Musculoskeletal, Gym Programs

Practice Manager & Marketing Officer
Farida Malek
As a graduate in Interactive & Visual Design from QUT, Farida is passionate about all things creative!

When her Husband, Michael, began his journey building XELSA, Farida stepped in to support behind the scenes.

Now as XELSA's Practice Manager, Farida makes sure the team and patients are looked after! She also manages our marketing and branding (her favourite part of the job).

In her own time, you'll see Farida at a pilates class, baking and most likely on the other side of the chess board ;)

Reception / Admin
Malak Mugharbel
If you've called the XELSA team before, you probably spoke to Malak!

Malak is the friendly voice you'll hear when calling to make an appointment. She's the one who keeps on top of all things admin and makes sure Harvey and Mike don't have to worry about a thing.

Malak is currently studying Electrical engineering at Griffith University; yes, she's super smart!

Outside of the clinic you'll find Malak playing volleyball, hanging out with friends or camping!

Jun is also XELSA’s lymphoedema management specialist, certified in lymphoedema management of the upper limbs, trunk, and breast.
